Payments:
A 50% retainer is required to lock in your order. The retainer amount is applied to the overall total of your order. If the retainer is not received, the order has not been booked. This amount becomes null and void if the order is cancelled within the two weeks of the order’s due date, if the order is not picked up, or if the address for delivery is not provided a week prior to delivery date.
The remaining balance is due upon due date specified in the invoice under “due date.” For last minute orders (i.e. orders placed within the same week the order is due), payment in full is due at time of order being placed.
Refunds:
Refunds are at the discretion of the owner of the business. Payment will only be refunded if the order does not meet the terms of what is established in the order. Both parties will have a copy of the order. If there are specific requirements of the order, such as flavor, design, shape, color, etc. they will be notated in the invoice/order form under “details.” Anything else not specified by the customer will be up to the bakers discretion. By receiving the invoice and making payment for retainer, or full payment if a last minute order, you are agreeing to the terms of the order.
Once the order has been placed in the hands of the customer or designated pick up person, the condition of the cake is now solely the responsibility of that person. OhtheCakery will not be liable for any damage to orders during the delivery process after a pick up or at the venue after it has been delivered by the baker. There will be a care card included with the order upon pick up/delivery, along with instructions included in the invoice/order form.
